Dressage is French for "training" and its purpose is to develop a horse's natural athletic ability and willingness to work.  An Olympic event, the horse is guided through a series of complex maneuers with the rider using only slight movements of the hands, legs, and weight.  Any breed may compete, and exhibitors are of all ages.  This two-day show is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.  For more information, go to Arizona Dressage Association
